Megaware KeelGuard 27341 SkegGuard Stainless Steel Skeg Protector for Mercury Mariner 40-50-60hp

The Megaware KeelGuard 27341 SkegGuard is a heavy-duty stainless steel skeg protector engineered to shield your outboard motor's skeg from ramp dragging, submerged rocks, stumps, and floating debris. Built to fit Mercury and Mariner 40, 50, and 60hp 2 & 4-stroke outboards with the small 3.44" torpedo gearcase (1991-present), this skeg guard is equally effective as a preventive protector or as a repair solution for an already damaged or broken skeg.

Key Features:

• Constructed from 18-gauge 316 marine-grade stainless steel for maximum corrosion resistance in saltwater and freshwater environments
• Mirror-polished finish for a premium look and long-lasting shine
• Reinforced 3mm wear tab along the bottom edge provides extra protection against impact and ramp drag
• Drain hole prevents water from collecting inside, reducing the risk of corrosion and freeze damage
• Installs with as little as 2"–3" of skeg remaining — no need for a full skeg to mount
• DIY-friendly installation in under 10 minutes using a rubber mallet; pre-drilled holes guide a 1/4" drill bit for secure fastening
• Backed by a 3-year warranty

The SkegGuard 27341 fits the Mercury/Mariner 40–60hp small torpedo gearcase (1991–present). Note: For Bigfoot or Command Thrust versions, see model 27071. Visit keelguard.com for the full application guide and additional motor fitments.
