The Marshall Excelsior ME518 is a Type 1 (QCC) propane cylinder connector designed for safe and reliable connection between portable propane cylinders and downstream regulators or hose assemblies. This brass connector features a 1-5/16 inch female ACME inlet and 1/4 inch male NPT outlet, with a flow capacity of 200,000 BTU/hr and 100 SCFH air flow.

The Type 1 (QCC) thread replaces the older POL connection standard on propane cylinders. To install, close the cylinder valve and all appliance control valves, hand tighten the connector onto the cylinder, and slowly open the cylinder valve to avoid activating the excess flow device. If the excess flow device is triggered, close appliance control valves and wait 60 seconds for pressure equalization before reopening.
