The Martyr CM806188Z is a zinc bearing carrier anode designed specifically for MerCruiser Bravo I stern drives. This sacrificial anode provides essential corrosion protection for your outdrive by preventing galvanic corrosion that can damage vital aluminum components.

Key Features:

  • Manufactured from mil-spec MIL-A-18001K zinc alloy for reliable corrosion protection
  • Located at the aft end of the bearing carrier surrounding the propeller shaft
  • Outer diameter: 2.75 inches (70mm)
  • Mounting hole spacing center-to-center: 2.91 inches (73.9mm)
  • Bolt hole diameter: 0.2 inches (5mm)
  • Depth: 0.9 inches (23mm)
  • Requires 5/16-inch or 8mm wrench for installation

Martyr anodes are engineered to erode inward, giving the anode a sandblasted appearance that allows for easy visual inspection of remaining protection life. Anodes should be replaced when they are 70% eroded to maintain optimal corrosion protection. Always check propeller clearance after installing new bearing carrier anodes.
