The Martyr Anodes CMALPHAKITM is a complete sacrificial anode kit engineered specifically for Mercury Alpha I Generation II sterndrive units manufactured from 1991 to present. This comprehensive kit provides complete corrosion protection for all critical metal components of your outdrive, helping to prevent costly galvanic corrosion damage in saltwater and freshwater environments.

Complete Protection Kit Includes:

  • CM762145 Trim Tab Anode - Protects the trim tab assembly
  • CM806105 Bearing Carrier Anode - Guards the bearing carrier housing
  • CM821629C Driveshaft Housing Anode - Shields the driveshaft housing
  • CM821631 Gimbal Housing Anode - Protects the gimbal housing assembly
  • (2) CM806189 Trim Ram Anodes - Safeguards both trim ram cylinders
  • All necessary fastening hardware for installation

Martyr anodes are manufactured from high-quality aluminum alloy that meets or exceeds military specifications MIL-DTL-24779(SH) and MIL-A-24779(SH). These anodes are designed to sacrifice themselves through electrolysis, protecting more expensive drive components from corrosion. Regular inspection and replacement of sacrificial anodes is essential preventative maintenance that extends the life of your sterndrive and reduces long-term repair costs.

Fitment: Mercury Alpha I Generation II outdrives (1991-Present)

I was only shipped 1 of the 4 bolts needed to assemble the extension on the unit. Had to scrounge the shop to find more bolts. Assembling the unit in that small space was quite the chore. Although a few negatives, I do have to say I am super impressed with the unit!! Very heavy duty and I now feel very safe in leaving valuables in my truck as long as they are locked up in this!! Very well made!!
