The Martyr Anodes CME1D is a complete engine cooling system zinc pencil anode assembly designed to protect marine engines from corrosion. This ready-to-install unit includes both the zinc anode and brass plug, making replacement quick and convenient.

Zinc pencil anodes are essential components in marine engine cooling systems, providing sacrificial cathodic protection against corrosion of engine components. The zinc material is preferred over aluminum for pencil anode applications as it resists breaking at the neck, preventing blockages in coolant channels. Regular replacement of engine cooling system anodes is critical to maintaining effective corrosion protection and extending engine life. This complete assembly simplifies maintenance by including both the consumable anode and the reusable brass plug in one package.

Note: Zinc anodes are formulated for saltwater use and are not recommended for freshwater applications.

So far, they did good getting my package to me...downfall it was opened from whoever was subcontracted to send it to me. however they promptly have provided me with a return slip and we will see where it goes from there. they were quick to help fix their problem as long as i had pictures of what was wrong. still cheaper than anywhere else.
