Product Details

The Quicksilver 14857A16 Oil Warning Module is a genuine OEM replacement control module designed to monitor oil levels on Mercury and Mariner 2-stroke outboard engines. This critical engine protection component monitors the oil injection system and triggers a warning alert when oil levels drop to an unsafe threshold, helping prevent catastrophic engine damage from oil starvation.

This module represents the latest revision in the long-running 14857 series, superseding numerous earlier part numbers including 14857A15, 14857A13, 14857A11, 14857A10, 14857A7, 14857A6, and 14857A3, among others. It is the definitive OEM solution for engines that originally used any of these earlier module variants.

Key Features:

  • Genuine Quicksilver OEM replacement oil warning module
  • Designed for Mercury and Mariner 2-stroke outboard engines
  • Monitors oil injection system and activates warning indicators at low oil conditions
  • Final and most current revision in the 14857 module series (A16)
  • Direct plug-in replacement — no modifications required
  • Compatible with 2-cylinder, 3-cylinder, and 4-cylinder engine configurations

Cross-Reference Part Numbers:

  • OEM: 14857A16, 710-14857A16, 144-4857-16
  • Supersedes: 14857, 14857-1, 14857A1, 14857A2, 14857A3, 14857A4, 14857A6, 14857A7, 14857A8, 14857A9, 14857A10, 14857A11, 14857A12, 14857A13, 14857A14, 14857A15

Always verify fitment using your engine's serial number before ordering to ensure correct application for your specific outboard.

Found the price unbeatable after much research online. Wish it was a little faster turn around time (3 days), but overall I am happy with my purchase. The option of buying through Amazon was great!
