Quicksilver 17264T2 Aluminum Trim Tab Anode for Mercury Mariner Force Outboards

The Quicksilver 17264T 2 Aluminum Anode is an OEM-grade sacrificial anode engineered to protect Mercury, Mariner, and Force outboard motors from the damaging effects of galvanic corrosion. Produced by Mercury Marine to original equipment manufacturer specifications, this anode delivers reliable, long-lasting corrosion protection in both fresh and salt water environments.

A key design feature of this anode is its aft-positioned trim tab, which moves the trim tab further back to accommodate propellers with a higher rake design — offering greater flexibility for performance-oriented outboard setups.

Key Features:

• Cast aluminum construction meets or exceeds military specification MIL-A-24779(SH), providing longer-lasting protection than traditional zinc anodes
• Suitable for use in fresh water, salt water, and brackish water
• Aft-shifted trim tab design allows for compatibility with high-rake propellers
• Engineered to OEM Mercury Marine specifications for maximum performance and fitment accuracy
• Designed for fast, easy replacement using common hand tools
• Helps reduce maintenance costs by protecting the drive unit from galvanic corrosion damage
• Inspect periodically and replace when signs of corrosion or pitting appear for optimal protection

Refer to your Mercury or Mariner owner's manual or service manual for specific application details and installation instructions. Regular inspection and timely replacement of anodes is one of the most cost-effective ways to preserve and protect your outboard investment.
