Product Details

The Quicksilver 861776A2 Exhaust Block-Off Plate Kit is an OEM-quality component designed to seal the gimbal housing exhaust port on MerCruiser Alpha and Bravo stern drives when a through-transom exhaust system is installed. This plate ensures a proper, leak-free seal at the gimbal housing, preventing water intrusion and exhaust gases from escaping through the standard exhaust passage when the alternate routing is in use.

Important Installation Note: The block-off plate must be installed prior to engine installation for proper fitment and sealing.

Kit Includes:

  • Exhaust block-off plate
  • Attaching hardware

Key Features:

  • Genuine Quicksilver OEM part — manufactured to Mercury Marine's original equipment specifications
  • Designed specifically for use with through-transom (thru-hull) exhaust systems on MerCruiser stern drives
  • Seals the gimbal housing exhaust port to prevent water intrusion and exhaust leaks
  • Includes all necessary attaching hardware for a complete installation
  • Backed by Mercury Marine's 1-year factory warranty against defects in materials and workmanship

Quicksilver is the premier supplier of Mercury Marine original equipment replacement parts and accessories, with over 65 years of experience delivering precision-engineered marine components. Part number 861776A2 is also referenced as 861776A 2.

Ordered Monday, delivered Thursday - just as promised. Best price among all reputable on-line parts dealers. Saved at least a third off the most popular dealers.

Piston ring compressor was much cheaper than anywhere else I found.
