The Quicksilver 862827 Tether and Drain Plug Assembly is a genuine OEM replacement kit designed for MerCruiser stern drive engines. This kit includes the drain plug and tether assembly needed to properly seal and service the transom drain on a wide range of MerCruiser inboard/sterndrive applications.
The tether keeps the drain plug securely attached to the engine, preventing loss during draining or winterization — a common issue with loose plugs. Built to Mercury Marine's exacting OEM specifications, this assembly ensures a reliable, leak-free seal.
Key Features:
This is a genuine Quicksilver OEM part backed by Mercury Marine's quality standards, making it the recommended choice for maintaining your MerCruiser sterndrive cooling and drainage system.
