Product Details

The Quicksilver 864281A 2 is a genuine OEM Mercury-Quicksilver U-Joint (universal joint) assembly designed for MerCruiser Alpha One Generation II sterndrive systems. This complete assembly is a direct factory replacement for the driveshaft housing u-joint, engineered to OEM tolerances for reliable power transfer between the engine and the sterndrive lower unit.

As a genuine Mercury Marine factory part, this u-joint assembly is manufactured to the same specifications as the original equipment, ensuring proper fit, function, and durability. It is not an aftermarket substitute—this is the same assembly installed at the factory on Alpha One Gen II and Vazer stern drives.

Key Features:

  • Genuine OEM Quicksilver/Mercury Marine factory part
  • Complete u-joint assembly — includes yoke and cross & bearing components
  • Engineered for MerCruiser Alpha One Gen II sterndrive driveshaft housing
  • Direct factory replacement for worn or damaged u-joint assemblies
  • Sold individually (quantity = 1)

OEM & Cross-Reference Part Numbers:

  • Mercury/Quicksilver OEM: 864281A 2, 864281A2, 864281A01, 814819A2, 814819A7, 865491A01, 59830A5
  • Superseded to: 8M0107510
  • Sierra: 18-6402, 18-6405, 18-9218
  • GLM: 28070

Replacing a worn u-joint assembly is essential to prevent vibration, driveline noise, and potential sterndrive damage. Always confirm fitment using your MerCruiser serial number before ordering.

Searched local and web stores for an Exedy clutch kit. Even with shipping, Autoplicity beat the others on price. They are an Amazon seller so I was not as concerned about buying from them as I usually am when buying things on the web.
