Product Details

The Quicksilver 865328A01 Gimbal Ring is a genuine OEM replacement component for MerCruiser Alpha One Generation II sterndrive and transom assemblies. The gimbal ring is a critical structural part of the sterndrive transom system, providing the pivoting interface between the boat transom and the sterndrive unit that allows for steering and trim movement.

This is a direct factory replacement part from Quicksilver, the official OEM parts brand of Mercury Marine. Part number 865328A01 supersedes the earlier 816461A2 gimbal ring, representing a Design II update used on newer production units.

Key Features:

  • Genuine Quicksilver OEM part — not aftermarket
  • Designed for MerCruiser Alpha One Generation II sterndrive transom assemblies
  • Supersedes legacy part number 816461A2
  • Applicable across a wide range of MerCruiser engine configurations using the Gen II gimbal housing
  • Ensures proper fit, function, and durability consistent with Mercury Marine factory standards

OEM / Supersession Cross-Reference:

  • Quicksilver Part Number: 865328A01
  • Supersedes: 816461A2

This genuine Quicksilver part is the correct choice for restoring the steering and trim pivot function of your MerCruiser Alpha One Gen II transom assembly to factory specification.
