Quicksilver 865996A01 1.7-Inch Dry Joint Exhaust Riser Kit for MerCruiser FWC Engines

The Quicksilver 865996A01 is an OEM 1.7-inch (43 mm) exhaust riser spacer kit designed specifically for MerCruiser dry joint exhaust systems equipped with freshwater cooling (FWC/closed cooling). This kit adds critical height between the exhaust manifold and riser elbow, helping ensure that the exhaust outlet remains safely above the waterline to prevent water from backflowing into the engine.

Key Features:

• 1.7-inch (43 mm) riser height — provides supplemental lift for exhaust riser elbows on closed-cooling dry joint systems
• Dry joint design — engineered exclusively for use with dry joint (non-water-cooled) exhaust manifolds
• Freshwater cooling (FWC) compatible — designed for MerCruiser engines equipped with closed-loop freshwater cooling systems
• OEM Quicksilver quality — manufactured to Mercury Marine factory specifications for reliable, long-lasting performance
• Kit includes spacer block(s), gaskets, and mounting hardware for a complete installation
• 1-year factory warranty against defects in materials and workmanship

Routine inspection and replacement of exhaust riser components is essential to protecting your marine engine. Corrosion and heat cycling can degrade riser blocks and gaskets over time, and a failed riser seal can allow raw water to enter the combustion chamber, causing catastrophic engine damage. Always confirm fitment using your engine's serial number before ordering.
