The Quicksilver 90185A1 Skeg Kit (G/H) is an OEM replacement skeg designed specifically for the MerCruiser Alpha One Gen II sterndrive. The skeg is the fin-like projection at the bottom of the lower unit that protects the propeller and gearcase, improves directional stability, and is one of the most vulnerable components on any sterndrive — prone to damage from underwater obstacles, shallow water, or accidental grounding.

This genuine Quicksilver/Mercury Marine part restores the lower unit to factory specifications, ensuring proper hydrodynamic performance and continued protection for the drive's internal components.
