Product Details

The Quicksilver 99940A2 Continuity Circuit Kit is a genuine OEM Mercury Marine assembly designed to maintain proper electrical bonding between the driveshaft housing and gear case on MerCruiser sterndrive units. Proper electrical continuity across the upper and lower drive units is critical for corrosion protection — including the effectiveness of the Mercathode system and sacrificial anodes — making this kit an essential component for routine sterndrive maintenance and service.

Key Features:

  • Genuine OEM Quicksilver/Mercury Marine factory part
  • Establishes and maintains electrical continuity (bonding) between driveshaft housing and gear case
  • Protects against galvanic corrosion by ensuring proper grounding circuit integrity
  • Includes grounding straps, plates, and mounting hardware
  • Comes with factory instructions and cutouts for proper placement

Compatible Sterndrive Models:

  • Mercury Marine R/MR/Alpha One (1983–1990)
  • TR/TRS (1977–1993)
  • Alpha One Gen II (1996–present)
  • Bravo I, II, and III (all years)
  • BlackHawk (1994–1995)

The 99940A2 replaces the earlier 99940A1 kit and is the correct OEM continuity kit for Alpha One Gen II and all Bravo sterndrive generations. Using genuine Quicksilver parts ensures a precise fit and long-term reliability in the marine environment.

Quick

Fast and friendly

Great price, fast shipping. Ordered Monday afternoon and had it Wednesday morning. Their customer service is very helpful and they usually have the parts I need in stock.

Ordering it was easy. Delivery was completed on the 27th which seemed to take an awful long time to receive the part after ordering

A+ Experience. Made a mistake and almost canceled my order thinking that I've found better price. They were very nice to proceed with cancellation, but when I figured out my mistake, they did reverse cancellation without any problems. Prompt and polite response every time. I will use them again for sure.

Great price, fast shipping, good company that I will do business with again!

Very good price on item. Shipped and arrived in very good time. Good communication.
