Panther 35SS645 Safe-Skeg Stainless Steel Skeg Protector Guard

The Panther Safe-Skeg (35SS645) is a precision-engineered, marine-grade stainless steel skeg protector designed to defend your outboard's lower unit from impacts, rocks, and underwater debris. The skeg is the lowest point of the lower unit, serving as a rudder to maintain steering control while shielding the propeller — a bent or damaged skeg can significantly degrade handling and performance. The Safe-Skeg slips over the existing skeg to protect it, repair impact damage, or simply refresh the look of the lower unit with a brilliant polished finish.

Key Features:

• Constructed from 316 marine-grade stainless steel for maximum corrosion resistance in both salt and fresh water
• 1.5mm material thickness — 50% thicker than competing skeg guards
• Brilliantly polished seamless design for a clean, professional appearance
• Drain hole prevents water from being trapped inside, protecting against corrosion and winter freeze-up
• Installs in minutes with no special tools required
• Dual-function design works for both new skeg protection and damaged skeg repair

Kit Includes:

• Safe-Skeg guard
• Mounting hardware
• Installation instructions
• Allen wrench
• Loctite 262 thread-locking compound
