Panther 35SS655 Safe-Skeg Skeg Guard 316 Stainless Steel Volvo Penta DP/SX Drives

The Panther Safe-Skeg (part number 35SS655) is a heavy-duty skeg guard engineered to protect, repair, or restore the appearance of your sterndrive's skeg. Constructed from 316 marine-grade stainless steel with a brilliant polish, this guard clamps securely over the existing skeg and installs in minutes — no special skills required.

At 1.5mm material thickness, this guard is built to withstand underwater impacts from rocks, debris, and shallow-water hazards while resisting the corrosion and wear that harsh marine environments demand. A built-in drain hole prevents water accumulation that can lead to corrosion or freeze damage during colder months.

Key Features:

• 316 marine-grade stainless steel construction — brilliantly polished finish
• 1.5mm material thickness for superior impact resistance
• Drain hole design protects against corrosion and freeze-up
• Quick, tool-friendly installation — complete in minutes
• Skeg guard only — drive and propeller not included

Kit Includes:

• Safe-Skeg guard
• Mounting hardware
• Installation instructions
• Allen wrench
• Loctite 262 thread-locking adhesive

The Panther 35SS655 Safe-Skeg is the trusted solution for boaters looking to protect a new sterndrive skeg, restore a damaged one, or simply add a clean stainless look to their drive unit.
