Product Details

The Panther Safe-Skeg (35SS670) is a precision-formed skeg guard engineered to protect, repair, or restore the skeg on Evinrude and Johnson E-TEC outboard lower units. Whether you are guarding a factory-new skeg from underwater hazards or covering a worn or damaged one, this stainless steel sleeve installs in minutes without welding or special tools.

Key Features:

  • Constructed from 316 marine-grade stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance in saltwater and freshwater environments
  • 1.5 mm material thickness for robust protection without adding excessive bulk to the lower unit
  • Brilliantly polished with a seamless design for a clean, factory-finished appearance
  • Built-in drain hole prevents water accumulation, protecting against corrosion and freeze-up in cold climates
  • Installs in minutes — no welding required
  • Fits E-TEC 150, 175, 200 DCX & DPX (2004–present) and 225–250 DPL Blue Evinrude/Johnson outboards

Kit Includes:

  • Safe-Skeg guard
  • Mounting hardware
  • Allen wrench
  • Loctite 262 thread-locking compound
  • Installation instructions

The Panther Safe-Skeg is available in a wide range of models to fit most major outboard and stern drive brands, making it the go-to solution for skeg protection and repair across the powersports marine market.

The website was easy to navigate. I found the product easy peasy. Placed order and my order was delivered within days not weeks. I would order again from them if I ever need shocks again.

Informative and helpful ordered tires and the process was smooth. Shipping company was quite slow compared to others that we've ordered from buy tires just showed up and seemed to be good. Thank you.

You guys got me the part very fast. Thanks

We got the tire in time!

WAS VERY EASY TO PLACE AN ORDER, WILL WAIT FOR DELIVERY!

Great, but I thought that it would come sooner for $20.00

That experience was great dealing with y’all very quick. I love you.

No problem with ordering and having the items ground shipped to a forwarding company (I am based in the UK)
