Panther 35SS680 Safe-Skeg Stainless Steel Skeg Protector for Suzuki & Johnson/Evinrude Outboards

The Panther 35SS680 Safe-Skeg is a precision-fit stainless steel skeg protector designed for select Suzuki 4-stroke and Johnson/Evinrude (by Suzuki) 4-stroke outboard motors. Whether you need to protect a new skeg from future damage, restore a chipped or impact-damaged skeg to like-new condition, or simply add a polished, professional finish to your lower unit, the Safe-Skeg delivers a durable and cost-effective solution.

The skeg is the fin-shaped component at the lowest point of an outboard's lower unit. It acts as a rudder to keep the motor tracking straight and plays a critical role in steering — especially on high-performance boats. Because of its exposed position, it is highly susceptible to rock strikes and underwater impact damage. A damaged skeg can significantly reduce engine performance and compromise steering response.
