Product Details

The Panther Drive Belts 35SS715 SafeSkeg is a precision-fitted stainless steel skeg protector designed specifically for Mercury 150HP outboard motors (2012 and newer). Whether you're protecting a brand-new skeg from underwater hazards, repairing a damaged one, or simply adding a polished finish to your lower unit, the SafeSkeg delivers lasting protection with a clean, professional look.

Key Features:

  • 316 Stainless Steel Construction — Marine-grade stainless steel provides superior corrosion resistance in both saltwater and freshwater environments
  • 1.5mm Material Thickness — Robust enough to absorb impact from rocks, debris, and shallow-water hazards
  • Drain Hole Design — Built-in drain hole prevents water accumulation, protecting against corrosion and freeze-up in cold climates
  • Complete Kit — Includes mounting hardware, installation instructions, Allen wrench, and Loctite 262 for a secure, permanent fit
  • Model-Specific Fit — Engineered to fit Mercury 150HP outboards from 2012 and newer for precise alignment and maximum coverage

The Panther SafeSkeg 35SS715 is an easy, cost-effective way to extend the life of your outboard's lower unit skeg, eliminating the need for costly repairs after underwater strikes. Installation requires no special tools beyond the included Allen wrench.

Great ordering experience

Received ahead of schedule. Beautiful product! Perfect fit as well. Thank you.

Very easy to buy and good quality.

I was pretty happy with the service. I ordered the part on a Sunday afternoon and paid $9.99 for 2 day delivery and it arrived on Friday 5 days later so not sure I got what I paid for in that regard.

The online purchasing system is very efficient. I had an issue with the delivery times, and the company quickly corrected the situation to my satisfaction.

Great job
