Sea Hawk Biocop TF was developed as an alternative to tin-based antifouling paints to protect against the harshest marine environments and provide maximum protection to your vessel. This top-of-the-line dual biocide bottom paint is the first non-tin-based antifouling paint to outperform the old tin-based paints.
Advanced Dual Biocide Technology:
An improved cuprous oxide and zinc pyrithione dual biocide, combined with a state-of-the-art "PL3" polymer controlled release mechanism, leaves no harmful chemicals in the environment. The formulation contains 38% cuprous oxide and 4.14% zinc omadine as active ingredients. The polymer binder system is engineered to optimize the release of copper, which prevents hard shell fouling, and zinc omadine which prevents slime.
Self-Polishing Ablative Formula:
As an ablative paint, Biocop TF slowly wears away or "self-polishes" at a controlled rate as the boat is used, constantly releasing fresh biocide for unbroken antifouling effectiveness, reducing the build-up of old spent paint and the need for sanding at haulout, and reducing drag to enhance fuel efficiency.
Key Features:
- Considered the top performer among antifouling paints and is safe in salt or fresh water on boats of all sizes
- Harder ablative finish lasts longer on higher-speed boats and is abrasion resistant, allowing it to withstand maintenance scrubbing without removing paint and trailering and dry storage without damaging the coating
- Delivers multi-season protection against hard and soft marine growth
- Lloyd's Registry approved
- Can be applied over properly prepared tin-based paint
- Semi-gloss finish
Application Specifications:
- Theoretical coverage: 315 square feet per gallon
- Two coats recommended, three at the waterline and other high-wear areas
- Contains 57% solids by volume
- Can be applied by brush, roller, or airless spray
This gallon of Biocop TF in Red provides professional-grade marine protection suitable for fiberglass, wood, and steel hulls when used with proper preparation and primer systems.
