The SeaStar Solutions SS14117 is a complete back mount rack and pinion steering system designed for power-assisted stern drive boats. This traditional mechanical rack steering system delivers precise, comfortable control with easy installation from behind the dash, making it an excellent choice for boats where No Feedback systems are not required.

Key Features:

  • Precise 4.0 turns lock-to-lock for smooth, responsive steering
  • Standard 3/4" round tapered keyed steering shaft compatible with wheels up to 16" diameter
  • Back mount design allows fast installation without dash modification
  • Replaces 1984 and newer "The Rack" steering systems using SSC134XX back mount rack cables
  • Stainless steel cable output ends for corrosion resistance
  • Heavy-duty construction meets ABYC standards and NMMA certification requirements

Applications: Suitable for virtually all power-assisted stern drive boats and single engine power-assisted outboards. Designed for single station use only.

Complete Kit Includes:

  • SH5210P Helm unit
  • SB39526P 90-degree bezel kit
  • SSC13417 17-foot steering cable
  • Mounting hardware and installation instructions

Important Note: SSC124XX old style rack cables cannot be used with this system. This system is recommended as a replacement for original equipment as installed by the boat manufacturer.
