The Seastar Solutions SS15117 is a complete No FeedBack (NFB) rack and pinion mechanical steering system designed for single-station boats with single outboard engines. This back mount steering kit combines Teleflex's patented NFB technology with the precision of rack and pinion engineering to deliver superior steering comfort and control while isolating operators from propeller torque feedback.

Applications: Suitable for most single-station boats with a single non-power-assisted outboard engine up to V-6 configuration (up to 150 HP) with minimal engine flutter or steering instability. The NFB system is ideal for engines over 40-50 horsepower where propeller torque becomes noticeable. This is a drop-in replacement for Teleflex "The Rack" systems without requiring dashboard modifications.

Important Notes: Old style SSC124XX rack cables cannot be used with this system. NFB steering helms should not be used with autopilots, power-assisted steering systems, or dual helm stations due to the internal clutch mechanism that locks the wheel when not being actively turned.
