The Sierra 18-2603 Lower Shift Cable Kit is a complete replacement solution for MerCruiser stern drive shift systems. This kit is designed for MC-I, R, MR, Alpha One, and Gen II drives from 1978 and newer, providing everything needed for a professional shift cable replacement.

Complete Kit Includes:

  • Shift cable assembly (18-2190)
  • Shift cable bellows (18-2753-1)
  • Outdrive mounting gasket (18-2743)
  • Outdrive gasket set (18-2619-1)
  • Standard 63-inch conduit with hardware package

Key Features:

  • Interchangeable with GLM 21450, Mallory 9-72100, MerCruiser 19543T1, 19543T2, and 865436A03
  • Meets or exceeds original equipment specifications
  • Includes all gaskets, bellows, and ends required for installation
  • Designed for aft installation (cable threads in from rear of bell housing)

Worn shift cables can cause shifting difficulties and may damage your gears. This complete kit restores smooth, effortless shifting performance to your marine drive system. Installation requires P/N 18-9806E shift cable tool (sold separately).

Note: Some older models may have been retrofitted to accept aft installation cables—check your current cable to see how it is threaded in.
