Key Features:

  • Direct replacement CDI ignition power pack (power pack) with terminal block connection
  • Engineered for 3-cylinder, 3.228" bore, 2-stroke Yamaha outboard engines
  • Covers the full 688-85540 OEM supersession series (-12 through -16)
  • Compatible with 90HP Jet Drive models (1991)
  • For 3-cylinder engines only — not compatible with 4-cylinder Yamaha outboards

OEM & Cross-Reference Part Numbers:

The Sierra 18-5130 CDI unit restores proper ignition timing and spark delivery to Yamaha 75HP, 85HP, and 90HP 3-cylinder 2-stroke outboard motors, addressing symptoms such as misfires, hard starts, and sudden engine stalling. Always verify OEM part number compatibility before installation.
