Product Details

The Sierra 18-5206 is a marine-grade ignition condenser designed as a direct replacement for Mercury and Mariner outboard motors. This condenser is a critical component of the conventional points-based ignition system, functioning as a capacitor that suppresses arcing across the contact points as they open, which in turn allows the ignition coil to generate a strong, clean spark at the plug.

Key Features:

  • Direct-fit replacement for Mercury Marine OEM part 398-693
  • Also interchangeable with Chrysler 398-176, GLM 70680, and Mallory 9-29109
  • Meets or exceeds original equipment specifications
  • Built with quality, marine-grade components engineered for the harsh marine environment
  • Protects ignition contact points from pitting and burning caused by electrical arcing
  • Helps deliver reliable, strong spark for consistent engine starting and performance

The Sierra 18-5206 is also included as part of the Sierra 18-5007 Tune-Up Kit, pairing with the 18-5153 contact set for a complete ignition service on compatible Mercury and Mariner outboard engines. Always verify compatibility using OEM and Sierra part numbers before ordering.

Awesome service at great price!

This is my second time ordering from Autoplicity and both times they had the lowest price on the items I was looking for (brake pads and CAI filter). Fast shipping, my filter was at my door two days later. Overall very satified.

good and quick

Being able to link to my amazon account made shopping super easy

Thanks

My ARB 50qt fridge/freezer arrived quickly and it was way cheaper than anywhere else. I was a little leery only because of that. However, I received the fridge and saved about $65 over even Amazon. No problems.

I bought a Motive pressure brake bleeder from Autoplicity. I have been looking around for different prices for quite a while, and their price, even with shipping cost, was the lowest. After ordering, I received a notification of shipment and tracking number. The item arrived well packaged, complete, and intact within a few days. I am looking forward to using it.

I saw nothing but good reviews and the money back guarantee, these together helped me finalize my decision to order from this site. I ordered just before the weekend started so I think it took my order a little longer to process. I was relieved to find that my order was shipped on the day I ordered it, It just took a little while for the email traffic to catch up. So far things have been good!!!
