Product Details

The Sierra 18-5877 is a 35-amp replacement stator designed for Johnson and Evinrude loop-charged V6 and V8 two-stroke outboard motors. This stator is a direct OEM replacement, engineered to restore proper charging system and ignition trigger function to your outboard engine.

The stator is a critical ignition system component mounted beneath the flywheel. It generates the electrical current needed to power the engine's ignition system and charge the battery. A failed or weak stator can cause hard starting, misfires, or complete no-start conditions — making this a common maintenance and repair part for high-horsepower Johnson and Evinrude motors of this era.

Key Features:

  • 35-amp output for compatibility with loop-charged V6 and V8 powerheads
  • Direct replacement for OMC OEM part number 584643 and 763779
  • Designed to meet or exceed original equipment specifications
  • Built for the harsh, moisture-rich marine environment
  • Drop-in installation with no modifications required

Cross-Reference Part Numbers:

  • Sierra: 18-5877, 18-5862
  • OMC/BRP: 584643, 0584643, 763779, 0763779
  • CDI Electronics: 173-4643
