Product Details

The Sierra 18-6080 is a zinc sacrificial anode engineered to protect MerCruiser Alpha One Generation II stern drive units from galvanic corrosion. Designed as a direct OEM replacement, this anode deteriorates in place of critical underwater drive components — shafts, propellers, and drive housings — keeping expensive hardware intact and corrosion-free.

Key Features:

  • Material: Zinc alloy — ideal for saltwater and brackish water environments
  • Dimensions: 1-3/4" length x 3/8" diameter
  • Nominal Weight: 0.10 lbs
  • Designed to meet or exceed OEM specifications for MerCruiser Alpha One Gen II drives (1991 and later)
  • Provides sacrificial galvanic corrosion protection to protect shafts, propellers, rudders, and drive sections
  • Direct bolt-on replacement requiring no modification

Replaces OEM Part Numbers: Mercury/Quicksilver 821629, A1, Q1

Cross-Reference Part Numbers: 47-6080, GLM 12711

Replace anodes annually or when approximately 50% of the anode material has deteriorated to maintain full corrosion protection. Sierra parts meet or exceed the original equipment standards they replace, making the 18-6080 a reliable choice for routine stern drive maintenance.
