Product Details

The Sierra 18-7704 Idle Air Control Motor (IAC) is a precision-engineered replacement component designed to maintain smooth and stable engine idle by regulating airflow at idle speed. This motor provides reliable performance for marine stern drive applications.

Key Features:

  • Direct OEM replacement for Volvo Penta part number 3855194
  • Also replaces OMC Stern Drive 3855185 and EMP 1300-36043
  • Improved metal stem construction attached to valve plug versus older plastic designs that are prone to breakage
  • Controls air delivery to the engine during startup and idle operation
  • Mounts directly to the side of the throttle body for easy access and installation
  • Features proper mounting tang configuration with longer top tang for correct fitment

This idle air control motor is engineered to meet or exceed OEM specifications, ensuring dependable operation and proper engine idle characteristics. The upgraded metal stem design provides enhanced durability and longevity compared to original equipment.
