Tie Down Engineering 86482 5" Spool-Type Keel Roller 5/8" Shaft Black Rubber

The Tie Down Engineering 86482 is a 5-inch spool-type black rubber keel roller designed for boat trailers. Part of Tie Down's Hull Sav'r roller line, this replacement roller fits shafts measuring 5/8" in diameter and is constructed from cut-resistant, shock-absorbent poly vinyl rubber that will not mark or mar your boat's hull.

Key Features:

• Size: 5" roller with 5/8" shaft hole
• Style: Spool-type design
• Color: Black
• Material: Cut-resistant, shock-absorbent rubber — will not scratch or mar hull surfaces
• Designed to resist abrasion and withstand salt corrosion for use in both freshwater and saltwater environments
• Serves as a direct replacement for warped or distorted keel rollers

The primary function of a keel roller is to center and guide the keel of your boat onto the trailer during loading and unloading. The spool-type profile provides a smooth, controlled surface that prevents side-to-side shifting and ensures proper alignment, simplifying both launching and retrieval. Using multiple rollers positioned along the trailer's cross members allows for better load distribution and helps protect the hull from direct contact with metal trailer components.
