West System 88110 Breather Fabric for Vacuum Bagging

The West System 88110 Breather Fabric is a lightweight polyester blanket designed specifically for vacuum bagging applications in composite lamination. This essential material provides excellent air passage throughout the vacuum envelope, ensuring uniform vacuum distribution across your layup.

Key Features:

• Lightweight polyester construction for easy handling and placement
• Provides excellent air passage within the vacuum bag system
• Absorbs excess epoxy resin during the vacuum bagging process
• Prevents resin-starved areas and ensures proper resin distribution
• Compatible with all West System epoxy formulations
• Ideal for boat building, composite repair, and advanced laminating techniques

Breather fabric is placed between the vacuum bag and release film to create an air path that allows the vacuum pump to draw air evenly from the entire laminate. By absorbing excess resin, it helps achieve optimal fiber-to-resin ratios and prevents pooling that can add unnecessary weight to your finished composite part.
