Product Details

The JR Products GSNI468840 is a heavy-duty gas spring designed to assist with opening and holding open doors, hatches, or platforms on RVs, campers, and marine applications. This gas-charged strut provides smooth, controlled motion and reliable support for access panels, storage compartments, and entry doors.

Key Specifications:

  • Compressed length: 8.40 inches
  • Extended length: 13.98 inches
  • Lifting capacity: 40 pounds
  • Gas-charged type for consistent performance
  • Plastic socket end fittings for easy installation
  • Stroke length: 5.58 inches

This gas spring is ideal for replacement applications where controlled opening and secure holding positions are required. The plastic socket ends provide secure mounting while protecting surrounding surfaces from damage. Gas springs eliminate the need for manual propping and reduce wear on hinges by providing smooth, dampened motion throughout the full range of travel.

I entered my discount code 2offtotal and it did not remove 2% of the price. It was less than10 so not a big deal, but it would have been better if it worked.
