JR Products GSNI-5000-60 Gas Spring 60 lb Force 10 Inch Extended Length

The JR Products GSNI-5000-60 is a heavy-duty gas spring designed to assist with opening and holding open doors, hatches, platforms, and storage compartments on RVs, trailers, and marine applications. This gas strut provides smooth, controlled motion with 60 pounds of lifting force to support moderate-weight applications.

Key Specifications:

• Compressed length: 6.41 inches
• Extended length: 10 inches
• Lifting capacity: 60 pounds
• Stroke length: 3.59 inches
• End fittings: Plastic socket ends for secure mounting
• Gas-type construction for reliable, maintenance-free operation

Gas springs use compressed nitrogen gas and oil to provide consistent force throughout their range of motion, eliminating the need for mechanical springs or manual props. The plastic socket end fittings allow for easy installation on standard ball stud mounts commonly found on RV doors, engine compartments, and exterior storage bays.

Common Applications:

• RV entrance doors and screen doors
• Storage compartment lids and hatches
• Marine platform doors and engine covers
• Slide-out room mechanisms
• Cargo trailer rear doors

When replacing gas springs, it's important to match both the compressed and extended lengths, as well as the force rating, to ensure proper operation. This unit's 60-pound capacity makes it suitable for medium-duty applications where manual lifting assistance is needed.
