Product Details

The Ronstan RF628 is a precision-engineered twisted shackle designed for marine rigging applications where strength, durability, and corrosion resistance are essential. This compact shackle features a 3/16" pin diameter with overall dimensions of 1-3/32" length and 13/32" width, making it ideal for connecting lines, blocks, and hardware in tight spaces where a traditional shackle orientation won't work.

Key Features:

  • High strength-to-weight ratio for optimal performance without added bulk
  • Grade 316 stainless steel construction throughout body and pin for maximum corrosion resistance in saltwater environments
  • Coined shackle pin head ensures secure retention and easy hand tightening
  • Twisted design allows for 90-degree load orientation, perfect for bridles and complex rigging configurations
  • Precision manufactured to exacting tolerances for reliable performance

Ronstan's twisted shackles are trusted by sailors worldwide for both racing and cruising applications. The 316 stainless steel construction provides superior protection against pitting and crevice corrosion compared to standard 304 stainless, ensuring long service life even in harsh marine conditions.
