Ancor 1209-FT Flat Duplex Marine Wire 8/2 AWG Red/Black

The Ancor 1209-FT is a premium flat duplex marine cable featuring 8 AWG conductors (2x8mm²) in red and black, sold by the foot for custom installation lengths. This heavy-duty marine-grade wire is designed to exceed UL Boat Cable standards, making it ideal for high-current DC applications on boats, RVs, and other marine vessels.

Key Features:

• Ultra-flexible Type 3/Class K stranding resists fatigue from constant vibration and flexing in marine environments
• Proprietary premium vinyl insulation remains flexible in extreme cold and resists salt water, battery acid, oil, gasoline, and UV radiation
• Rated for 600V, 105°C dry and 75°C wet conditions for reliable performance in demanding applications
• Durable outer jacket provides exceptional abrasion resistance while allowing easy removal for terminations
• Inner conductors are correctly color-coded to ABYC (American Boat and Yacht Council) standards for proper polarity identification
• Flat duplex design keeps positive and negative conductors together for organized, professional installations

Ancor marine wire is the preferred choice for battery cables, inverter connections, windlass installations, and other high-amperage marine electrical systems. The 8 AWG size is suitable for circuits up to approximately 80 amps at 12V DC, depending on run length and application.
