Electronic Tachometer Operation:
This electronic tachometer monitors engine speed by counting pulses generated by your engine's ignition system, alternator, tach signal generator, or magnetic pickup sender. Installation requires connection to +12VDC power, ground, and your chosen signal source. An adjustable switch on the rear of the gauge allows you to calibrate the tachometer to match the number of pulses sent per engine revolution, ensuring accurate RPM readings for your specific outboard motor.
