Springfield Marine 3601002 Power-R Taperlock Pedestal

The Taper-Lock™ was designed in 1982, allowing a pedestal to be removed from its base…and yet remain firmly in place when required. The bushing on the end of the post is molded from duPont® Delrin, and each one is slightly tapered. The taper matches to a corresponding taper in the socket of the pedestal base. This allows the pedestal to fit snugly, and disengage as needed. An additional feature is the locking "tab", which helps prevent the pedestal from turning and also helps keep the post firmly secured. Travels from 13-1/2" to 20" at the touch of a lever. Seat mount is diecast aluminum with attractive black powder-coat finish. Pedestal is activated by lifting up or pushing downward on handle…a fool-proof Springfield exclusive. Swivels a full 360°. The cylinder is protected by a stainless steel sleeve.
