Megaware KeelGuard 20907 Keel Protector 7ft Blue DIY Hull Guard

The Megaware KeelGuard® (MPN: 20907) is a 7-foot, Blue keel protector designed to shield your boat's hull from the damaging effects of sand, rocks, concrete boat ramps, and oyster beds. Unprotected keels are vulnerable to abrasion that erodes the gelcoat finish, allowing water to penetrate and compromise the underlying fiberglass laminates — the KeelGuard stops that damage before it starts.

Key Features:

• Abrasion-resistant polymer construction: Formulated from a precise blend of polymers and urethanes for optimal durability and flexibility
• 3M® pressure-sensitive adhesive: Permanently bonds and seals the KeelGuard's contoured edges directly to the hull surface for a watertight fit
• Hydrodynamic drag-reduction channels: Angled grooves create air pockets along the surface, maintaining boat speed and performance after installation
• Multi-layer build: Layers of adhesive, foam padding, and an ultra-tough polymer composite exterior absorb shock and prevent scratches, dings, and structural damage
• UV-stabilized Blue finish: Color is treated to resist fading from sun exposure, maintaining its appearance for the life of the boat
• DIY installation: Complete install kit included — features a scotch-brite pad, primer wipe, and burnishing tool; typically installs in about one hour
• Lifetime warranty: Covered against abrasive wear and adhesion failure under normal use for as long as you own the boat
• Made in the USA

The 7-foot length is sized for boats in the 19- to 20-foot range. Each kit includes all necessary installation materials — no additional sealants or adhesives required. Note: Not recommended for boats where the full weight rests on keel rollers, and not compatible with kayaks, canoes, or most catamarans. Anti-fouling or bottom paint must be removed from the keel surface prior to installation.
