Auto Sense Intelligence:

The RM1100B utilizes an internal level sensor that automatically activates when water reaches 2 inches (5cm) and shuts off when the water level drops to 3/8 inch (0.9cm). The sensor's unique field effect technology measures dielectric constant and recognizes water only—meaning straight motor oil in the bilge will not activate the pump, making it an eco-friendly choice for protecting our waterways.
