Unlike winches with abrasive drum surfaces, the Andersen drum features vertical ribs running up the smooth polished stainless steel surface, providing maximum grip with minimum wear on ropes. The grip provided by the ribs will remain the same year after year, eliminating the need for refinishing that plagues other winch surfaces.

Self-Tailing Convenience:

The exclusive self-tailing device automatically accommodates a wide range of different line sizes, allowing single-handed sail control.
