About Kahlenberg Industries
Kahlenberg Industries is one of the most storied names in sound signaling, with roots stretching back to 1895 when the Kahlenberg Brothers Company first opened its doors in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. Established in 1895, Kahlenberg Industries, Inc. has been continuously family-owned and managed since its founding over a century ago. What began as a small Midwestern manufacturing operation has grown into a globally recognized authority on precision-engineered horns and signaling products — all still produced in the same Wisconsin city where it all started.
A Legacy of Sound Signaling Excellence
Kahlenberg Industries, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of sound signaling products, primarily consisting of pneumatic air and electric horns for marine, industrial, and mass notification use. A manufacturer of marine equipment since 1895, Kahlenberg designed and produced its first marine air horn nearly 80 years ago. Decades of continuous refinement have made their horns synonymous with reliability and distinctive, authoritative sound.
Kahlenberg Sound Signals have developed a worldwide reputation for their reliability, durable construction, and distinctive sound, and all marine sound signaling equipment is certified to USCG/IMO requirements for frequency and decibel level for its intended application. Marine sound signaling equipment is also tested to IMO, USCG, and special customer requirements, and certified by ABS, ABYC, NMMA, British MCA, Canadian DOT, RINA, and other national authorities and classification societies.
Trusted by Navies, Yachts, and Beyond
The reach of a Kahlenberg horn is remarkable. The U.S. Navy specifies Kahlenberg electric piston horns for aircraft carriers. At the other end of the spectrum, Kahlenberg has built programmable musical air horns for superyachts that play the owner's favorite songs at 140 decibels, at the touch of a button. Customers include the largest navies of the world as well as hundreds of OEM manufacturers in the shipbuilding, construction, mining, construction equipment, mass transportation, and safety and security industries.
The brand's reach extends well beyond the water. Oil refineries in the deserts of the Middle East use Kahlenberg horns for evacuation alarms. For sports fans, the chances are good that if your hockey or football team celebrates each goal with a blast from a horn at the top of the arena, it is likely a Kahlenberg. In fact, the tradition of goal horns in NHL arenas traces back to Chicago Blackhawks owner Bill Wirtz, who liked the sound of his Kahlenberg horn on his yacht and wanted to put it in the arena.

Kahlenberg Industries, Inc. is ISO 9001-2015 Certified for the design and manufacture of sound signaling equipment, marine propellers, and the manufacture of other custom metal products.
