About Enovation Controls
Enovation Controls has spent more than eight decades earning the trust of engineers, OEMs, and equipment operators who simply cannot afford failure. Rooted in the 1939 founding of FW Murphy Manufacturing by Frank W. "Pat" Murphy, the company was built on a single mission: provide simple, reliable engine protection. That spirit of practical innovation has never wavered. In 2009, FW Murphy merged with EControls — a leader in gaseous-fuel engine management — to form Enovation Controls, combining Murphy's deep instrumentation heritage with advanced electronic control technology to deliver truly integrated solutions.
A Global Leader in Electronic Control & Display Solutions
Today, Enovation Controls operates as a stand-alone subsidiary of Helios Technologies (NYSE: HLIO), headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with manufacturing and engineering locations spanning San Antonio and Rosenberg, Texas; Birmingham, United Kingdom; Hangzhou, China; and Pune, India. The company fields an internationally diverse team that supports a worldwide network of authorized distributors, system integrators, and OEM partners across virtually every heavy-duty and specialty market.
Enovation Controls serves markets including off-highway mobile equipment, recreational and commercial marine, power sports and specialty vehicles, agriculture and water pumping, power generation, natural gas compression, and engine-driven industrial equipment. Their three core brands — Murphy®, High Country Tek (HCT), and Zero Off® — each bring focused expertise to their respective niches while sharing the same engineering culture of ruggedness and reliability.
Products Built to Conquer Complexity
The Enovation Controls product portfolio centers on rugged displays, electronic and mechanical controllers, engine instrumentation, switch panels, I/O expansion modules, and remote monitoring systems. The flagship PowerView® and OpenView™ display families offer operators clear, real-time engine data — RPM, temperature, pressure, fluid level, and fault diagnostics — across screen sizes ranging from compact entry-level units to full-color, 7-inch bonded LCDs with sunlight-readable graphics. Whether running a mechanical engine or a modern J1939 CAN-based ECU, there is an Enovation Controls display engineered for the application.
The Murphy® Swichgage®, introduced in 1939, remains one of the most recognized names in engine protection instrumentation. Decades of refinement have expanded that original safety-switch concept into an entire ecosystem of gages, sensors, level maintainers, pressure transmitters, tachometers, and thermocouple assemblies — all built to provide accurate, long-lasting monitoring in the harshest environments on earth.
On the controller side, the PowerCore® lineup delivers plug-and-play to fully configurable engine control, supporting manual or automatic start, multiple throttling options, and compatibility with both mechanical and electronic engines through Tier 4/Stage IV emissions readiness. For fluid-power and mobile applications, the HCT brand adds modular, extremely robust hydraulic controller solutions recognized globally in fan cooling and hydraulic generator segments.
Engineering Partnerships & Customization
A defining strength of Enovation Controls is its ability to deliver fully customized, production-ready solutions at scale. Boat builders, agricultural OEMs, and industrial equipment manufacturers work directly with Enovation's application engineers to create branded, integrated display-and-control systems that reduce wiring complexity, improve diagnostics, and meet stringent environmental protection standards. The PowerVision Configuration Studio™ software allows OEMs and operators alike to define custom parameters, add graphics, and configure interfaces without specialized hardware tools.
With a legacy stretching back to 1939 and a global footprint that keeps growing, Enovation Controls continues to be the partner that complex engine applications trust when failure simply is not an option.
