The Octopus Type 2 Adjustable Reversing Pump is a professional-grade autopilot hydraulic pump designed for vessels up to 65 feet LOA with hydraulic steering systems. This 12V pump operates cylinders from 11-22 cubic inches with exceptional efficiency and precision control.

Advanced Piston Pump Technology:

Unlike competitive gear pumps, this unit features piston pump technology that delivers more than twice the hydraulic output per watt of input power. The simple design has only three moving parts and requires no complicated check valves to prevent rudder movement when de-energized. The pump output is fully adjustable from 50% to 100% of rated flow (600cc to 1.2 liters per minute), allowing precise matching to your steering cylinder volume.

Heavy-Duty Motor Construction:

Powered by a robust permanent magnet motor measuring 85mm in diameter with long-life brushes and sealed ball bearings. Directional control is achieved by reversing the motor input current, providing reliable left or right steering corrections as commanded by your autopilot system.
