VDO A2C59501984 Veratron NMEA 2000 Wind Sensor - Wind Speed & Direction

The Veratron VDO A2C59501984 NMEA 2000 Wind Sensor is a certified marine wind instrument designed to deliver precise wind speed and direction data across a standard NMEA 2000 network. Compatible with Veratron AcquaLink and OceanLink gauge systems, this sensor integrates seamlessly into modern marine instrumentation setups for sailing and powerboat navigation.

The mechanical wind vane tracks wind direction across a full 0–360° range, while the rotating wind cups capture relative wind speed from 1.0 to 68 knots. Using a Hall-effect sensor and cross-coil measurement system, the sensor transmits apparent wind data via a DeviceNet M12 5-pin (Micro-C) NMEA 2000 connector. When boat speed data is present, compatible AcquaLink systems can automatically recalculate apparent wind into true wind, giving sailors the flexibility to navigate with either reading.
