Groco SSC-2500 2-1/2" Safety Seacock Engine Flushing Kit and Bronze Service Adapter

The Groco SSC-2500 is a 2-1/2" safety seacock engine flushing kit and bronze service adapter designed to add emergency bilge pumping capability and simplified maintenance access to any raw water cooling system. Installed on the outflow side of an existing seacock, the SSC-2500 gives boaters a single, versatile access point for emergency use, seasonal winterization, and routine cooling system flushing.

The kit features an O-ring sealed side port with a removable twist-lock quick-release plug secured by two locking dogs. A built-in safety mechanism ensures the open valve handle physically blocks removal of the quick-release plug, preventing accidental pull while the seacock is open.

Three Key Functions:

• Emergency Bilge Pumping: With the engine running, close the seacock and remove the quick-release plug — excess bilge water is drawn in and pumped overboard via the engine's raw water intake pump
• Winterization: Close the seacock, remove the plug, and insert the included bronze service adapter to connect a garden hose and pump antifreeze directly into the cooling system
• Cooling System Flushing: Close the seacock and insert the service adapter — dockside fresh water can be used to flush the cooling system with the engine running at idle speed
