Lewmar HM10HT150PX Anchor Rode - 10' 1/4" G4 Chain 150' 1/2" 8-Plait Rope with Shackle

The Lewmar HM10HT150PX is a complete 160-foot anchor rode kit featuring 10 feet of 1/4 inch High Test ISO G4 windlass chain spliced to 150 feet of 1/2 inch 8-plait nylon rope, and includes an anchor shackle. This rode is designed to complement the rope-chain gypsies fitted to all Lewmar windlasses.

• 8-plait nylon rope enables 50% more line in the locker than 3-strand rope while maintaining the same tensile strength
• Long-lasting 8-plait construction resists unraveling and eliminates hockling and kinking
• 8-plait nylon rope is 1/3 more absorbent than 3-strand rope, providing better weight for improved fall into the anchor locker
• G4 chain is hot dip galvanized to minimize corrosion
• Chain is calibrated for even pitch and welded for high strength
• Includes shackle to attach the chain to the anchor
• Under load, the 8-plait rope tightens to a firm lay - the higher the load, the harder the lay becomes

Unlike 3-strand rope that can coil or create a "birds nest" in the locker, 8-plait flakes and falls upon itself, making it ideal for windlass applications. The tapered splice ensures a smooth transition from rope to chain for seamless operation with your windlass system.
