The BEP Marine 720-MDO-EP is a remotely activated, high-current emergency parallel switch designed for critical marine battery management. This motorized switch enables emergency starting of large engines with up to 2500A cranking capacity for 10 seconds, making it ideal for diesel vessels and boats with multiple battery banks.
Emergency Parallel Operation:
The switch conveniently activates via a momentary dash button that parallels both battery banks for 10 minutes—providing ample time for emergency starting without the risk of draining your start battery. After 10 minutes, the switch automatically disengages, eliminating concerns about accidentally leaving batteries paralleled. A manual override option provides backup control when needed.
Marine-Grade Construction:
Engineered specifically for harsh marine environments, this switch features tinned copper conductors for superior corrosion resistance, stainless steel hardware, and high-temperature fiber-reinforced plastic housing. The ignition-protected design meets marine safety standards and offers flexible installation with both recessed and surface mounting options.
Key Features:
- 500A continuous rating with 2500A cranking capability for 10 seconds
- 12/24V dual voltage operation (both battery banks must match voltage)
- Automatic 10-minute timer prevents battery drain from forgotten parallel connection
- Remote dash-mounted momentary button operation
- Manual override for emergency situations
- Ignition protected for marine safety compliance
- Tinned copper conductors and stainless steel hardware for corrosion resistance
- Compact 4" x 4" x 4.3" footprint
- Recessed or surface mount installation options
Package Includes:
- 720-MDO-EP Emergency Parallel Switch
