Product Details

The Lewmar 66840079 Chain Stopper is a robust deck fitting designed to secure anchor chain and prevent unwanted chain movement. This model accommodates 10mm (3/8") chain and features a convenient lever-operated mechanism for quick engagement and release.

Key Features:

  • Designed for 10mm (3/8 inch) anchor chain
  • Lever-operated control for easy one-handed operation
  • Holds chain securely to reduce load on windlass
  • Constructed from corrosion-resistant marine-grade materials
  • Compact deck-mounted design minimizes space requirements
  • Prevents chain creep and rattling while at anchor

Chain stoppers are essential safety equipment that lock the anchor chain in place, taking the load off the windlass mechanism and providing a fail-safe backup should the windlass fail. The lever design allows for quick release when weighing anchor, making this an ideal addition to any cruising or offshore vessel equipped with a windlass system.
