Product Details

The Sierra 18-5260 Tune Up Kit is designed for V8 marine engines equipped with Prestolite screw-down cap distributors. This comprehensive ignition tune-up kit includes three essential components to restore reliable spark and optimal engine performance in harsh marine environments.

Kit Includes:

  • 18-5303 Contact Set (Points) - High-grade conductivity for clean break and consistent spark
  • 18-5345 Condenser - Built to withstand voltage spikes and prevent point pitting
  • 18-5403 Rotor - Balanced and durable for accurate high-voltage distribution

Key Features:

  • Engineered specifically for marine applications with corrosion-resistant materials
  • Designed to meet or exceed OEM specifications
  • Compatible with MerCruiser, Volvo Penta, OMC, Chris Craft, and Crusader engines
  • Direct replacement for OMC part numbers 173829 and 987926

Sierra marine ignition components are built to handle the demanding conditions of the marine environment, resisting corrosion and thermal breakdown better than standard automotive parts. Regular tune-ups with quality components help ensure reliable starts, improved fuel efficiency, and consistent engine performance throughout the season.
