Sierra 118-6511 Rewind Spring for Johnson/Evinrude Outboard Motors

The Sierra 118-6511 Rewind Spring is a high-quality replacement recoil spring designed for Johnson and Evinrude outboard motors. This precision-engineered component is a direct replacement for OEM part number 312932, ensuring a proper fit and reliable performance in your outboard's manual recoil starter system.

The rewind spring, also known as a recoil spring, is a critical part of the manual pull-start mechanism. When the operator releases the starter rope, the spring snaps back, rewinding the rope onto the pulley and resetting the starter for the next pull. A failed or weak rewind spring will prevent the rope from retracting, making the engine impossible to start manually.
