Furrion Speakers
Furrion Speakers Built for Life Beyond the Living Room
Furrion designs its audio gear for places where ordinary home speakers struggle: RV interiors that vibrate down the highway, boat decks exposed to spray and sun, and patios that see every season. The brand describes its speaker lineup as made to deliver immersive audio in RV, marine and outdoor settings using durable materials meant to handle tough conditions. That focus on environment-first engineering is what sets Furrion's speakers apart from general-purpose audio products.
Marine and RV Speakers
For boats and RVs, Furrion offers speakers such as the 5-inch recessed-mount marine speaker rated at 30 watts. Its waterproof dual-cone design is intended as an upgrade or replacement for boat and RV audio, and a dual-cone layout generally offers better sound than a basic full-range driver. Inside the coach, the 6.5-inch white wall or ceiling-mount speaker uses a flush design that suits tight camper and trailer interiors.
Furrion has also built soundbars for RV interiors. Its 2-zone soundbar combines Bluetooth, HDMI, USB and FM tuner features, and its feature list includes Vibrationsmart and Climatesmart, which speak to the vibration and temperature swings of life on the road. Passive 12V soundbar options are available for owners who already have an amplifier in their setup.
Aurora Outdoor Audio
The Furrion Aurora line extends the brand's audio into backyard and patio entertainment, and it pairs naturally with Aurora outdoor TVs.
- Aurora 2.1 outdoor soundbars: Available with a built-in subwoofer or a wireless subwoofer, these Bluetooth soundbars use a six-speaker design and an IP45-rated housing that resists rain, snow, dust, insects and humidity. The built-in subwoofer version delivers 70 watts, and mounting brackets are included.
- Aurora 4.1 landscape speaker systems: The Terrace and Veranda Series each include four satellite speakers, a dual-voice-coil subwoofer, ground stakes and gel-filled wire nuts. The Terrace uses 3-inch satellites with an 8-inch subwoofer, while the Veranda steps up to 4-inch satellites and a 10-inch subwoofer.
The landscape systems are designed to survive years outdoors. They use ASA construction with a fluorocarbon textured finish for UV protection, polypropylene cones with rubber surrounds, and marine-grade PEI tweeters. They are rated for temperatures from -15°F to 160°F, and the speakers have a 150° pivoting arm for aiming sound. Note that these systems require a separate receiver or amplifier.
What to Consider When Choosing
- Mounting location: Recessed, flush, surface and stake-mounted options each suit different installations, so measure cutouts and clearances first.
- Power source: Passive speakers and landscape systems need an external amplifier or receiver, while Bluetooth soundbars are more self-contained.
- Exposure: Match the weather rating to the setting, from sheltered RV interiors to fully exposed yards and boat decks.
